![]() went into settings to reset passwords and change the antenna SSIDs and passwords. I factory reset the Cox Modem and unplugged everything. which effectively killed the modem how it worked initially don't know, because the modem was trying to get internet from the router. And when I saw bridging, I enabled it on the Modem. When I had played with settings on the router it was via my phone's browser so i didn't get all the features. ![]() How can I set it up, so that the Technicolor only acts as a modem and my Nighthawk can work for home network router (via ethernet connection) while also keeping the TV functional?ĮDIT: Solved the problem after realizing what was done wrong. However, if / when I connect the TV receiver to ETH2, then ETH1 gets disabled / no signal and the TV functions. If I only connect the nighthawk to ETH1, then my home network works fine and my 2 dozen peripheral devices are functional. It appears the Modem is only able (or willing) to communicate with one ETH device not both. Using Ethernet cables I directly connected by Netgear Nighthawk RAX40 to ETH1 and the Cox cable box (Wireless 4K Contour Stream Player) to ETH2. On setup I disabled the device's wireless router function. I have the Gigabit service and received modem Technicolor CGM4141. I just signed up with Cox services and am having a hard time setting up.
